About this job

• Your task is to lead research in machine learning (with a strong emphasis on computer vision)

into the use of facial features in early-stage generalised remote clinical diagnosis.

• You will travel regularly to, and work directly with, a leading international medical centre to

develop the use cases and corresponding automated techniques.

• You will work in a dedicated research team of vision specialists in the UK and in close

collaboration with a vision system engineer to deliver prototype systems for clinical trial.

make a difference in the real-world and who have a passion for solving key challenges in areas as

diverse as security, healthcare and sports analytics. At AnyVision you will have the chance to

opportunity to publish in leading conferences, supervise doctoral-level research with our academic

partners, give masterclasses in our School of AI and lead significant teams across geographical areas

Essential skills and experience:

Candidates will have an excellent track record in leading research, and:

1. Have published 1st Author papers in significant (i.e. A/A*, Tier 1) conferences and journals


2. Have a track record of leading research in areas of Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and

Computer Vision. Minimum 3 years of experience (reduced to 1 year if has shown excellence

in other areas)

3. Recent research in one or more of the following areas: Face detection, face recognition,

object detection and classification, medical computer vision.

4. A demonstrable track record in applied computer vision.

5. An ability to travel and enthusiasm to collaborate with international partners.

Desirable skills:

1. Mastery of Machine learning frameworks (at least one of PyTorch, Caffe, Tensorflow, Scikit-


2. Excellent programming skills in Python (essential), C++ (desirable)

3. Familiarity with Git and the ability to deliver documented research and internal technical

reports including benchmark results.

4. Track record of solving large scale machine learning problems with a team

5. PhD in machine learning, computer vision or a related field.

6. Good verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to communicate research and

evangelize our work at the highest levels both internally and externally.

7. Strong mathematical and statistical background.

8. Show understanding of problem from data through to deployment targets and steer projects


9. Ability to work with multiple teams like Data, product and engineering to guide a project from

concept to deployment.

10. Self-motivated and hardworking attitude.

11. Takes initiative

12. A track record of interdisciplinary research, ideally in the medical sphere.
