As we grow in scope and ambition in 2019, we are looking for a highly motivated software framework designer/creator for modular vision systems pipeline integration.

You are:

You are a highly motivated individual with a rigorous, meticulous approach your working life. You are also passionate about technology and software. You will have completed a degree in a scientific discipline. You are an exceptional programmer and an excellent communicator of both complex technical and non-technical information. You have the ability to build small, agile teams of Software Engineers and attract others to work alongside you.

You will:

Specify the computing language for framework design. Create communication protocols for modular functionality arising from machine learning algorithms. You will work closely with Research Engineers, Algorithm creators and core Developers to support the integration of software modules using the systems framework, which will create new vision processing pipelines. You will use knowledge and experience of edge, cloud, and hybrid distributed processing applications to specify a robust framework which can execute different elements in different locations and on different vision accelerators. You will travel to multiple sites in the UK, USA and Israel to explain and implement your design concepts, and support testing.


Must have skills:

  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised academic institution 
  • Expert in C++ / Python and have 2-5 years industrial experience of being responsible for leading and developing systems architectures
  • Competent in the understanding of parallelisation in software design
  • Prior knowledge of CUDA, OpenCL, and other heterogeneous programming frameworks

Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience in the context of a company working on video data and/or modern machine learning
