The body research team is focusing on understanding people through person detection and recognition, human pose and skeleton estimation, tracking, action detection among other techniques.

This role will focus on developing state-of-the-art algorithms with the final goal of improving AnyVision’s product line. As a researcher you will:

-      Stay up to date with the recent advances in human body understanding, starting from person detection and pose estimation and finishing with the sky as your limit.

-      Design new networks and algorithms with a direct impact on multiple product lines.

-      Focus on developing state of the art networks performance-wise, but also efficient to be deployed on cloud and edge devices.

-      Improve the team and yourself through brainstorm, sharing ideas and code review.

Requirements

You are:

a highly motivated individual with a rigorous, meticulous, and scientific approach to life. You should be comfortable working within a team when it suits the project at hand, but also be capable of working on your own if needs be. You are creative and passionate about researching new algorithms with an emphasis on real-life applications.

Must have skills:

-      MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related technical field

-      Background in object detection, pose estimation, action similarity, and semi-supervised learning

-      Publication track record in major (i.e. A/A*, Tier 1) computer science conferences

and journals e.g. NIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV.

-      2+ years of experience programming in Python and/or C++.

-      2+ years of experience in deep learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch.


Desirable skills:

-      Knowledge on distributed learning and/or graph neural networks.

-      Familiarity with Git Workflow and code review.

-      Model optimization techniques (compression, quantization, etc).

-      Experience with inference engines e.g. OpenVino, TensorRT.

Location:

Belfast, London or Europe.
